Protecting Your Camera - Keeping It Dry

I was advised & recommended to use the Dry Box to properly store my camera to avoid moisture from damaging the lens. I managed to get my hands on this Dry Box in Singapore and now, can have a peace of mind, knowing that my new toy is safe & sound.

A layer of silicon are placed below the sponge base to absorb any moisture that could cause damage to the lens which is the most expensive & important component of the camera.

I may need to splurge a bit on another set of lens to enhance the range & ability of the camera.

Any kind advice for an amateur?
